Who is Mrs. Drew?
Mrs. Bevin Drew is in her first year teaching at Litchfield Public Schools, teaches 6-8 English Language Arts, and is an assistant coach for JH Volleyball, HS Volleyball, and HS Girls Basketball, as well as sponsoring JH Quiz Bowl. Before Litchfield, she taught a variety of classes in 6-12 English Language Arts at St. Libory - GI Northwest (4 years), Doniphan-Trumbull (2 years), Harvard (3 years), and York High School (1 year), and also coached a variety of levels of volleyball and basketball.
Mrs. Drew is originally from Ballard, Missouri, and moved to Nebraska in 2004 to attend York College, where she majored in Secondary English Education and K-12 Physical Education, minored in Athletic Training, and played volleyball. After she graduated, she taught at York High School for a year, also coaching volleyball at York College and helping with basketball at Centennial Public School. In the fall of 2010, she moved to Durham, England to attend Durham University for graduate school (MA in Education) and another shot at playing competitive volleyball. After that school year, she moved back to Nebraska after getting a job at Harvard. Mrs. Drew got married in October 2014 to Matt Drew, the principal and boys basketball coach at Litchfield. He was a teacher and coach at Giltner for 10 years. They live in Hazard, NE, and are fondly referred to as "the Drews of Hazard". The Drews have a poovanese puppy, Franny, and love spending time with their 13 nieces and nephews. Mrs. Drew enjoys reading, going to the gym, playing volleyball, watching sports, and traveling. |
